Responsible Gambling

Betting is meant to be enjoyable entertainment. At 99abb, we provide the tools, information and support resources you need to keep it that way — for every user across Pakistan.

18+ Strictly for adults aged 18 or older, or the higher minimum required by the operator or license jurisdiction. Underage gambling is prohibited.

Six Pillars of Responsible Play

Responsible gambling is not a checkbox at 99abb — it is built into every layer of the platform. These six commitments define how we approach player wellbeing every single day.

Adults-Only Access

The 99abb platform is strictly restricted to users aged 18 or older — or the higher minimum age required by the applicable operator or license jurisdiction. Age verification is part of our mandatory KYC process and is enforced without exception.

Self-Exclusion Tools

If you feel you need a break, our self-exclusion feature lets you block access to your account for a defined period — from 24 hours to permanent closure. Self-exclusion requests are processed promptly and honoured throughout the full duration you set.

Deposit & Loss Limits

Set daily, weekly or monthly limits on deposits and losses directly from your account settings. Limits take effect immediately when reduced. Increases to limits are subject to a cooling-off period, giving you time to reconsider before more funds become accessible.

Session Time Limits

Losing track of time is one of the most common patterns in problematic gambling. You can set maximum session durations so the platform alerts you — or logs you out automatically — when your chosen time limit is reached during any single session.

Reality Checks

Regular reality-check pop-ups remind you how long you have been playing and how much you have wagered during a session. These prompts are designed to break the immersive flow of betting and give you a clear, factual snapshot of your activity at regular intervals.

Dedicated Support

Our responsible gambling support team is reachable around the clock. Whether you have a question about a limit, want to activate self-exclusion or simply need someone to talk to, you can reach us at [email protected] — in English, with Urdu assistance available where possible.

Gambling Carries Real Risk

Gambling is not a reliable way to make money. All outcomes — whether on Pakistan cricket markets, PSL/T20 betting, ICC tournament odds, live casino tables or slot reels — are determined by chance. House edges and variance mean that, over time, the expected outcome for any player is a financial loss. Please treat wagering as paid entertainment, not as income or investment.

Legal Status in Pakistan

Online gambling may be restricted or prohibited in Pakistan under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 and related provincial legislation. 99abb does not claim that gambling is licensed, regulated or endorsed by the Government of Pakistan, the PTA, the State Bank of Pakistan, or any other Pakistani authority. This page does not constitute legal advice. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction.

Is gambling right for you?
Gambling should be a leisure activity — a bit of excitement watching Pakistan face Australia at the MCG, or during a PSL final in Lahore. It is not suitable for people who are under financial stress, recovering from addiction, under the age of 18, or using funds needed for household expenses like rent, groceries or school fees.

Healthy gambling looks like this: You set a fixed PKR budget before you start. You treat any winnings as a bonus, not an expectation. You stop when you reach your budget or time limit — whichever comes first. You never chase losses. You can walk away and not think about it until next time.

Payment references for context only: Payment methods such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank and Bank Alfalah are mentioned as familiar Pakistan payment references only. None of these institutions endorse, support or are affiliated with gambling activity on this or any platform.

Using Your Protection Tools

Every registered 99abb user has access to a suite of account-level protection tools. These can be activated at any time from your account dashboard — no waiting period, no approval required for protective actions. The steps below outline how to put them to work.

Deposit Limit Cap how much PKR you can add per day, week or month
Loss Limit Stop play automatically when net losses hit your threshold
Session Limit Set a maximum session length and get logged out on expiry
Cooling-Off Pause your account for a short defined break without full exclusion
01
Log In and Open Account Settings

Navigate to your account dashboard and select the "Responsible Gambling" or "Player Protection" section. This is the control centre for all safety tools available to your account.

02
Choose the Tool You Need

Select from deposit limits, loss limits, session time limits, reality-check intervals, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion. Each tool has a clear description of what it does and how quickly it takes effect.

03
Set Your Parameters

Enter the PKR amount or time duration that works for your budget and lifestyle. For deposit and loss limits, you can choose daily, weekly or monthly thresholds. Reductions take effect immediately; increases require a mandatory waiting period.

04
Confirm and Save

Review your settings and confirm. You will receive an email confirmation to your registered address. The protection tool is now active and will be enforced automatically — no further action required on your part.

05
Contact Support If You Need Help

If you have any difficulty activating a tool, want to escalate to full self-exclusion, or need guidance on which option suits your situation, contact our team directly at [email protected]. We will respond within 48 business hours for general queries and as a priority for self-exclusion requests.

Understanding Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is the most powerful protection tool available. Once activated, it blocks your access to the platform entirely for the duration you choose — no exceptions and no early reversals.

Short Break

24 hours to 7 days. Useful when you feel a session has gone on too long and you want a quick reset without a formal exclusion on record.

Medium Exclusion

1 month to 6 months. Recommended when you recognise that gambling has become more frequent than you intended and you need structured distance.

Extended Exclusion

6 months to 5 years. For users who have identified a problematic pattern and want a firm, long-term barrier between themselves and the platform.

Permanent Closure

Your account is closed indefinitely. This option is irreversible. Your data is retained only as required by applicable law and our privacy obligations.

What happens during self-exclusion? Your account is immediately suspended. All pending bonuses are forfeited. Any available balance may be withdrawn prior to exclusion taking effect — contact support promptly if you need assistance with this. Marketing and promotional communications are suppressed. When a timed exclusion expires, you must actively request reactivation after a mandatory reflection period; accounts do not reopen automatically.
Important

Self-exclusion at 99abb applies only to this platform. If you are concerned about problem gambling, we strongly encourage you to seek self-exclusion across all gambling platforms you use and to contact a recognised gambling support organisation. A list of support resources is available further down this page.

Could Gambling Be a Problem for You?

Most people gamble without any issues — a PKR 500 bet on a PSL match or a quick spin during a lunch break is harmless entertainment for the vast majority of users. But for some individuals, gambling can escalate into a pattern that causes real harm to finances, relationships and mental wellbeing.

The questions on the right are based on widely used responsible gambling screening frameworks. They are not a clinical diagnosis — but if you answer "yes" to several of them, it may be worth speaking to a support organisation or activating one of the protection tools available in your account.

Honest reflection matters. There are no consequences for answering honestly — this is a personal checklist, not a test administered by 99abb. The goal is simply to help you make an informed decision about whether your current relationship with gambling is working for you.
Ask Yourself Honestly
Have you ever spent more PKR on gambling than you originally planned to in a single session?
Have you gambled to recover losses from a previous session — commonly called "chasing losses"?
Have you borrowed money, used bill money or dipped into savings to fund gambling?
Has someone close to you — a family member, friend or colleague in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or elsewhere — expressed concern about your gambling?
Do you feel restless, irritable or anxious when you are unable to gamble or have had to reduce your activity?
Have you hidden your gambling activity or its financial impact from people you live with?
Has gambling caused you to miss work, neglect responsibilities or lose sleep on a recurring basis?
Have you tried to cut back or stop gambling and found it difficult to follow through?
If you answered yes to two or more

Consider activating a deposit or session limit today, or contacting our support team to discuss self-exclusion options. Speaking with a dedicated gambling support organisation is also strongly recommended.

Responsible Gambling FAQ

Log in to your account and navigate to the Responsible Gambling section of your account settings. Select "Deposit Limits" and choose whether you want a daily, weekly or monthly cap. Enter the PKR amount and confirm. The limit is applied immediately. If you later wish to reduce the limit further, the change takes effect right away. Requests to increase a limit are subject to a mandatory waiting period before the higher amount becomes active.

No. Self-exclusion is a firm commitment. Once activated, the exclusion cannot be reversed or shortened before the period you set has fully elapsed. This is a deliberate design choice — the purpose of self-exclusion is to remove the option to gamble impulsively during a vulnerable period. When a timed exclusion expires, you must make a conscious, active request to reopen your account, and a mandatory reflection period applies before reactivation.

You must be at least 18 years old to register and use the 99abb platform — or the higher minimum age required by the applicable operator or license jurisdiction if that is greater than 18. Age is verified as part of our mandatory KYC process. If we suspect an account belongs to a minor, access will be suspended immediately pending identity verification. Users found to be underage will have their accounts permanently closed and any remaining balance returned where permissible.

Online gambling may be restricted or prohibited in Pakistan under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 and related provincial legislation. 99abb does not claim to hold a licence issued by the Government of Pakistan, the PTA, the State Bank of Pakistan or any other Pakistani regulatory body, and makes no representation that gambling is legally permitted for users based in Pakistan. This information is provided for context only and does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply in your own jurisdiction.

Start by activating a self-exclusion or cooling-off period directly from your account dashboard — this requires no prior approval and takes effect immediately. Then reach out to our responsible gambling team at [email protected] with the subject line "Responsible Gambling". For independent support, organisations such as Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare, Gambling Therapy and BeGambleAware offer free and confidential help to anyone affected by problem gambling, including users in Pakistan.

Reality checks are periodic on-screen notifications that appear during an active session. They display how long you have been playing and the net amount wagered during the session. You can set the interval — for example, every 30 minutes — in your account settings. When the notification appears, you can choose to continue or to end the session. The goal is to break the immersive flow of play and give you a factual, clear-headed moment to decide whether to continue.
